In Uzbekistan, through further development of fruit and vegetable clusters and the viticulture sector, a value chain is being created and export-oriented production is being established.

The Ministry of Agriculture will take a modern approach to accelerate the transition to the principles of a market economy, increase the volume of processing, exports and value added by creating clusters in all areas specializing in cultivation of fruits and vegetables.

It is planned that as a result of these measures, 2 million 400 thousand tons of fruits and vegetables will be exported this year, which is 1.7 times more than in the last year. In this regard, exporting and processing enterprises with high potential in terms of infrastructure for placement, processing and storage of export-oriented highly productive crops, began creating clusters.

More than 80 species of agricultural products are grown in the country, which are exported to 66 countries. Although the country produces more than 21 million tons of fruits and vegetables annually, only 1.5 million tons are exported.
