The 32nd meeting of the CIS Healthcare Cooperation Council has been held via videoconference.

The meeting, chaired by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan Alisher Shadmanov, was attended by ministers of health of the Council’s member states – Uzbekistan, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Moldova and Armenia, officials of the sphere, representatives of the CIS Executive Committee and Hans Kluge, WHO Regional Director for Europe. The event was also attended by the leaders of specialized scientific and practical medical centers of Uzbekistan.

A plan of joint actions of the CIS countries to combat COVID-19, the problems of sanitary protection in the Commonwealth space, the activities of the Expert Council of the CIS member states on diabetes and other important issues were discussed at the conference.

Important decisions were made within the framework of international cooperation between the countries of the commonwealth in healthcare.

Following the videoconference, plans for 2021 were considered, issues for discussion at the next meeting of the Council were identified.
