Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures for widespread introduction of market principles in cotton production” has been adopted.

On March 6, 2020, the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures for widespread introduction of market principles in cotton production” was adopted.

According to the document, starting from 2020 harvest, the state order for the production of raw cotton will be canceled. The practice of purchase price adjustment for raw cotton will also be canceled. 

Voluntary cooperatives of farms will be created on the basis of ginning enterprises in the regions where there are no cotton-textile clusters.
