An online conversation was organized between representatives of the Institute of Islamic Understanding of Malaysia (IKIM) and scientists of Imam Bukhari International Research Center with participation of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuala Lumpur. The parties discussed mechanisms for implementing the Memorandum of Cooperation signed in May this year and plans for the future.

At the event, the parties agreed in the current pandemic to establish a mutual exchange of catalogs and books, conduct online conferences and joint research work dedicated to the life and scientific heritage of scientists. In the near future, the mutual exchange of books and catalogs will be carried out through the diplomatic missions of the two countries.

In accordance with the agreement reached in the scientific journal of the Institute of Islamic Understanding of Malaysia “Islam and the Contemporary World” (TAFHIM), as well as the spiritual, enlightenment, scientific and literary publication of Imam Bukhari International Research Center, scientific articles by scholars from Uzbekistan and Malaysia will be regularly published in the journal “Imom al-Bukhoriy Saboqlari” (“Lessons of Imam al-Bukhari”).

In addition, radio broadcasts on the heritage of Uzbek scientists with participation of scientists from two countries will be organized on the Radio IKIM.

At the event, representatives of Imam Bukhari International Research Center expressed a proposal to attract Malaysian researchers to the International Scholarship of Imam Bukhari, which is planned to be awarded starting 2021.
