Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov has met with members of the Turkish delegation led by the Secretary General of the Union of Engineers and Architects of the Turkic World Ilyas Demirci.

According to the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan, the guests spoke in detail about the cultural events planned by the Union of Engineers and Architects of the Turkic World in connection with the announcement of 2021-2022 as the Year of Mirzo Ulugbek. It was noted that the studies of our great ancestor Mirzo Ulugbek in astronomy are being studied with great interest by scientists all over the world.

On the occasion of the anniversary of Mirzo Ulugbek’s birth, on March 21-22, 2022, Samarkand will host the first conference “Year of Memory of Mirzo Ulugbek”. Members of the Turkish delegation will also visit Samarkand to discuss preparations for the upcoming conference.
