Uzbekistan’s athletes won 36 medals at the World Belt Wrestling Championships among boys and girls aged 15-17 and the World Cup, held in Russia’s Kazan.

The Championships were attended by more than 300 athletes from 26 countries.

Uzbekistan’s athletes in the classical style won 1 gold, 2 silver, 6 bronze medals, in the freestyle – 1 silver and 6 bronze medals. Mironshokh Ruziyev, Elmurod Abdullayev, Jamshid Egamov became judges at the last Championships and the World Cup.
