On May 17-22, 2021, a meeting of the working groups of the government delegations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Tajikistan in Joint Uzbekistan – Tajikistan Demarcation Commission took place in Khujand, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

The parties discussed the demarcation work on the line of Uzbekistan – Tajikistan State border, exchanged views on the design of the demarcation line and the establishment of border signs on the line of Uzbekistan – Tajikistan State border.

The sides agreed to continue field demarcation work on Uzbekistan – Tajikistan State border.

The meeting was held in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding.

A Protocol was signed following the event.
