The Ambassador of Uzbekistan Dilshod Akhatov met with the Director General and CEO of the Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO) Ajay Sahai, in Delhi.

The parties discussed issues of further stimulating trade-economic and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and India, providing comprehensive assistance to its development, in particular, in the healthcare, pharmaceuticals, information technologies, light and textile industries, agriculture.

Highly appreciating the comprehensive reforms carried out in Uzbekistan to support and develop entrepreneurship, practical steps to accelerate foreign trade, favorable conditions created for foreign investors, Ajay Sahai noted that Indian businesspeople are showing great interest in deepening cooperation with Uzbekistan.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on the organization of a webinar between the relevant companies of Uzbekistan and India to discuss the prospects for collaboration.
