Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States to Uzbekistan Jonathan Henick.

As a result of the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan, multilateral relations between Uzbekistan and the United States have been raised to the level of a strategic partnership.

Issues of enhancing trade-economic cooperation in the future and establishing permanent ties between entrepreneurs of the two countries, especially among women, were discussed at the meeting.

It was recognized that the state policy of Uzbekistan is aimed at the social protection of the population, and significant work is being carried out in this regard.

The parties also exchanged views on further improving the stable investment environment in Uzbekistan and on the process of joining the World Trade Organization.
