The event is attended by members of governments, heads of relevant ministries and agencies, leading economic structures.
The meeting began with a meeting of heads of governments in a contracted format.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev noted with satisfaction that the strategic partnership and alliance based on friendship and multifaceted practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia are developing at an accelerated pace.
It was noted that regular meetings and dialogues of the Presidents of the two countries fill partnership between ministries and agencies, regions of the two countries with new practical content. Intensification of delegation exchanges at various levels and interregional cooperation lays a solid foundation for continuation of trade-economic, investment, scientific-technical, cultural-humanitarian ties at the highest level.
The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev expressed his gratitude for the offer to visit Uzbekistan and emphasized that interregional cooperation contributes to the expansion of mutual relations through new directions. It was emphasized that today active cooperation has been established between almost 80 regions of the two countries.
Issues of bilateral cooperation, including further development of trade-economic relations are discussed at the meeting.
