Integrating digital technologies into Uzbekistan’s educational system is a matter of time, and the scale of work in this direction is increasingly expanding.
During the Digital Learning Week in Paris, the delegation of the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan met with UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Education, Stefania Giannini.
According to the Ministry of Digital Technologies, prospects for the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and UNESCO in digital education were discussed at the meeting.
Stefania Giannini noted the country’s ongoing digital transformation, particularly large-scale reforms in online education, digital literacy, and teacher training.
Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies Rustam Karimjonov noted that Uzbekistan is a permanent close partner of UNESCO in developing the country’s digital educational environment and digitalizing spheres.
Stefania Giannini highly appreciated Uzbekistan’s efforts to use digital technologies to improve educational opportunities and quality. She stressed that the country has the potential to become a regional leader in this area, given the strategic focus and investments attracted in new technologies.
