The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of a significant date in the history of relations – the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
“Good neighborliness and close cooperation between our countries serve as an important basis for the well-being and prosperity of our peoples, who have lived side by side in peace and harmony for centuries, having common roots and family ties, as well as for peace and stability in our region”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
The President of Uzbekistan emphasized that the National Leader of the Turkmen people made a huge contribution to the comprehensive expansion of cooperation between the two friendly countries, the achievement of an unprecedented level of strategic partnership based on mutual respect and trust.
The traditionally open and trusting contacts, and the creation of effective mechanisms that streamline interstate relations, serve as a solid basis for further strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation in all priority areas.
“Thanks to your far-sighted, balanced domestic and foreign policy, today Turkmenistan is achieving great success and milestones in all areas, the well-being of the population is constantly growing, and the country’s authority in the international arena is increasing.
Your participation in the Summit of the Organization of Turkic States, held in Samarkand on November 11 last year, as well as the awarding of the “Supreme Order of the Turkic World”, along with making an invaluable contribution to raising the authority of the conference, once again demonstrated to the world the high level of friendship between the fraternal Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan peoples.
As a result of your grandiose and historic efforts in the name of the development of your country and people, long-term strategies and programs, and implemented large-scale reforms, you have recently been approved as the Chairman of the Highest Representative Body of People’s Power – the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan and you have been awarded the status of the National Leader of the Turkmen people”, the President of Uzbekistan noted.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed confidence that a long-term and comprehensive partnership between the two countries, based on the principles of eternal brotherhood, friendship, and mutual support, will no doubt continue consistently in the future.
The President of Uzbekistan wished the National Leader of the Turkmen people good health, long life, happiness, great success in his honorable work, and peace, long-term development, and prosperity to the fraternal people of Turkmenistan.
