On November 10, the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella, who is on an official visit to Uzbekistan, accompanied by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, visited the Yangi O’zbekiston (New Uzbekistan) Park and laid flowers at the Independence Monument.
More than three thousand years – so deep are the roots of the history of national statehood on the territory of our Motherland. Any person contemplating the monument will witness the artistic embodiment of this glorious past. The guest was informed about the history embodied in this complex’s sculptural content.
Laying wreaths at the monument by high-ranking guests and official foreign delegations during a visit to Uzbekistan has become a good tradition.
The images of great scientists and thinkers, courageous commanders, and brave conquerors, our Jadid ancestors, depicted on the complex walls attracted the delegation members’ attention. It was noted that the image of the Humo bird – a symbol of peace, freedom, and goodness – successfully crowns this majestic monument.
The monument erected in honor of the country’s independence as a tribute to brave, hardworking, and heroic people is always crowded.
