The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan receives the Ambassador of Hungary

Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Uzbekistan Gyula Kovács.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, at the meeting, it was noted that Uzbekistan considers Hungary as one of the key partners in Europe, and is interested in developing bilateral dialogue and expanding the agenda of practical interaction.

The parties exchanged views on the practical aspects of the full implementation of the agreements reached within the framework of the talks at the highest level.

Proposals were discussed to enhance trade, economic and investment ties, including through the implementation of specific joint projects in the sectors of Uzbekistan’s economy.

The readiness of the parties to strengthen interaction within the framework of regional and international associations, in particular the UN and the Organization of Turkic States, was confirmed. The urgency of the signing of the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between Uzbekistan and the EU and Uzbekistan’s entry into the World Trade Organization was noted.
