The main tasks of joining the World Trade Organization defined

A regular meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on working with the World Trade Organization (WTO) was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Jamshid Khodjayev.

The current state of work on Uzbekistan's accession to the WTO and preparations for the organization of the 6th meeting of the working group on Uzbekistan's accession to the Organization were discussed at the event.

The main tasks within the framework of the country's accession to the WTO by the end of the year were identified.

Members of the Interdepartmental Commission were tasked with timely and high-quality preparation for the sixth meeting of the working group. It was also stressed that special attention should be paid to the requests of WTO member countries within the framework of bilateral negotiations.

Following the meeting, decisions were made on the formation of preliminary commitments of Uzbekistan within the framework of the country's accession to the WTO, as well as on holding bilateral negotiations with WTO member states soon.
