The National Scientific Research Institute of Renewable Energy Sources under the Ministry of Energy hosted an international workshop on the work in energy efficiency in Uzbekistan.
At the event, UzA Correspondent interviewed Suguru Miyazaki, Chief Representative of the JICA Uzbekistan Office, about the work carried out in Uzbekistan to develop partnerships and improve energy efficiency.
– The National Scientific Research Institute of Renewable Energy Sources and JICA experts held a presentation of various solutions in energy saving and efficiency, – said Suguru Miyazaki. – In general, our Agency has been cooperating with your country in the field of the economy for many years. The main goal of our partnership is to contribute to the socio-economic development of Uzbekistan.
The issue that we considered at today’s workshop – the work in energy efficiency in Uzbekistan – is of great importance. Saving energy in buildings and various sectors of the economy will allow the use of unspent energy for the needs of other industries. This will further increase the efficiency and economic effectiveness of the implemented activities.
JICA is not limited to inviting Japanese specialists to Uzbekistan and organizing the presentation of these solutions. On the contrary, we will continue to cooperate with the Government of Uzbekistan and our other partners in implementing measures in this direction. This cooperation may take the form of technical assistance or funding, and in any other form normally agreed upon as a result of our negotiations.
