Recent changes introduced to the vaccination process

Covid-19 is continuing to spread around the world.

“In such a situation, the only way to counter the epidemic is vaccination”, says Nurmat Otabekov, Deputy Head of the Service of Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health. – We will positively influence the situation when social immunity is formed in 60-70 percent of the population.

Therefore, by September 1 this year, measures for mass vaccination of the population over 18 years old will begin. The 1st stage of vaccination will be carried out before September 1, the 2nd – until October 1 and the 3rd – until November 1.

In Uzbekistan, 13 types of vaccinations are included in the corresponding calendar. They are approved by the Chief Sanitary Doctor of the country.

Seasonal vaccinations are also available. It is carried out based on the seasonal outbreak of a particular disease.

In addition, in Uzbekistan, as in the rest of the world, vaccination can be carried out based on epidemiological indications. It provides for mass vaccination in the event of a disease outbreak.

There is also a type of vaccination after recovery, while the patient is vaccinated after treatment.
