During the event, enterprising women and girls displayed their talent in various nominations.

Nargiza Salomova, the chief of the Sitora imkon plyus nongovernmental educational institution, was declared the absolute winner and obtained the right to participate in the republican phase of the contest.

“As a woman working in this sphere, I am very glad about conditions and opportunities being created for businesswomen in this country. The Sitora imkon plyus nongovernmental educational institution’s work is mainly directed towards raising the qualifications of personnel and retraining them. At clubs here such as computer literacy, sewing, cooking and confectionery making, 6 qualified specialists are training young people in these specialities. Customers are satisfied with services provided at our beauty parlour. In future, we want to set up a sewing workshop and create additional jobs,” says Nargiza Salomova.

At the contest, the chairperson of the Jeynov chorvadori LLC in Mirishkor District, Iroda Saidova, achieved first place. The chief of the Fayoza Dilmurodovna private enterprise in Qamashi District, Gulshan Ghoziyeva, took second place, and private entrepreneur Ziyoda Abdurasulova of Kitob District took third place.

Winners were also determined in such nominations as “Modern enterprising woman’s portrait”, “Generous businesswoman of the year”, “Farmer woman developing rural infrastructure” and “Enterprising woman”.

As part of the event, there was an exhibition of products made by participants in the contest.
