On September 4, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov received Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye Nuh Yılmaz, who arrived in Tashkent, Uzbekistan MFA reports.
The parties reviewed the current issues of the rapidly advancing relations between Uzbekistan and Türkiye, the successful implementation of joint programs, and the promising prospects for enhancing political dialogue, trade-investment ties, cultural-humanitarian and tourist exchanges.
Another round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Türkiye was also held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Foreign Ministers of the two countries.
It was noted that special attention is paid to the practical implementation of the agreements reached within the framework of the Third Meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, held in Ankara under the chairmanship of the Presidents of the two states in June 2024.
During the negotiations, the crucial importance of further expanding the contractual and legal framework of relations, in light of the developing ties in all directions, was emphasized.
Strengthening cooperation within multilateral structures, primarily the United Nations and the Organization of Turkic States, was discussed.
