Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan meets with the Ambassador of India

Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Uzbekistan Manish Prabhat.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of relations between Uzbekistan and India in various areas. The readiness of the parties to take joint measures to implement the decisions and agreements reached following the high-level meetings was emphasized.

The Ambassador highly appreciated the participation and speech of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the plenary session of the Voice of the Global South Summit, held on January 12 as part of India’s G20 Presidency.

Plans were considered for organizing joint events this year in a bilateral format, as well as within the framework of India – Central Asia Dialogue and international institutions.

The importance of promoting joint projects in trade, investment, the textile industry, IT, education and healthcare was noted.
