On April 22, a delegation of the All-Russian Public Organization “Russian Association of Heroes” led by the Chairman of the Committee on Defense of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vladimir Shamanov arrived in Uzbekistan.

Members of the delegation met with the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant General Bakhodir Kurbonov. At the meeting, attention was paid to the issues of friendship, strategic partnership and alliance between the two countries.

As is known, to date, military cooperation between the Ministries of Defense of Uzbekistan and Russia has risen to a new level. This will undoubtedly bring benefits to both parties.

During the visit, the delegation members will take part in the opening ceremony of the Museum of Cosmonautics, built in the administrative center of Mirzachul district of Jizzakh region – in the city of Gagarin in honor of the cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin.

The guests will also visit the Higher Military Aviation School and the Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Samarkand and Bukhara’s historical and cultural sights.
