16:06 / 2023-07-08

Less than a month is left before the start of a bright and festive event – the II CIS Games, which will be held in the capital of Belarus.

On July 5, at the Central Palace of Sports, eminent athletes pressed a symbolic button that started the countdown to the start of the competition. According to BelTA, the participants also got to the Palace of Sports in a sporty way – on bicycles from four sports facilities in Minsk. And towards the end, sports uniforms, medals, and the talisman of the II CIS Games – Rysik, the Lynx mascot were presented in the Minsk City Hall.

The fact that the lynx will become the mascot of the competition, which will start in Belarus on August 4, became known a few months ago. Now it has been officially introduced.

The Ministry of Sports and Tourism of the Republic assured that there should not be a shortage of souvenirs – residents and guests of Belarus will be able to buy not only a plush lynx, but also domestic confectionery products with a cheerful Rysik on the package.

At II CIS Games, 1672 medals with a corporate logo will be played. The winners of the medals will also receive a plush Lynx as a gift. The winners of the competitions will be determined in 20 sports: 3x3 basketball, boxing, volleyball, handball, judo, karate, athletics, mini-football, swimming, beach volleyball, beach football, sambo, modern pentathlon, wrestling, archery, bullet shooting, muay thai, weightlifting, field hockey, and rhythmic gymnastics.
