Legislative Chamber hosts a meeting with Kazakhstan delegation

Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis Nuriddinjon Ismoilov has met with the Chairperson of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev.

According to the lower house of parliament, the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber sincerely congratulated the Chairperson of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan on his visit to Uzbekistan and wished him success in further development of inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.

Chairperson of the Senate of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev noted the need for consistently continuing constructive and practical dialogue, further enhancing and strengthening parliamentary cooperation, which is an important factor in the development of bilateral relations.

At the meeting, held in the spirit of constructive and mutual trust, the parties discussed issues of enhancing and enriching parliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan with new content, exchange of experience in rule-making. They also mentioned the further development of trade, economic, investment cooperation between the two countries, the expansion of ties in transport, communication, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres.

Mr. Nuriddinjon Ismoilov invited members of the Parliament of Kazakhstan to attend the International Forum on “Interparliamentary Global Partnership in Achieving the SDGs” in Bukhara on June 24 this year, the World Conference on Youth Rights in Tashkent on August 12-13, 2021.

Following the talks, an agreement was reached on strengthening the role of parliaments in the comprehensive strengthening of practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
