The Institute of Higher Sportsmanship has been established in Uzbekistan by the Presidential Resolution “On measures to organize the activities of the Institute of Higher Sportsmanship” of June 6, 2022.

The Institute is a state higher education institution with a three-year term of study for graduates of the vocational education system. It will train highly qualified personnel in physical culture and sports. The educational process begins in the 2023/2024 academic year. The admission of students will be based on sports results.

The number of higher education institutions in the country has reached 165.
