On January 4, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China Jiang Yan.

The parties considered the prospects for further strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries in various fields, including through the implementation of the agreements reached following the state visit of the President of China Xi Jinping to Uzbekistan in September 2022.

The main attention was paid to building up trade, economic, investment, transport and communication cooperation.

Views were exchanged on the practical aspects of interaction within the framework of the UN, the SCO and other multilateral structures.
