FAO Director-General Qu Dongyu will visit Uzbekistan on September 5-6.

The Head of FAO will attend the International High-Level Forum on Landlocked Developing Countries on Food Security and the Sustainable Development Goals in Tashkent.

The two-day forum will cover various topics and events. These include, in particular, a high-level meeting of agriculture ministers, WTO accession opportunities, investment opportunities, cooperation with the private sector, food security, adaptation to climate change, and innovation.

In addition, it is planned to hold an Investment Forum and develop promising projects within it. It will be attended by responsible representatives of international organizations and foreign financial institutions.

During the visit, Qu Dongyu is also expected to hold several official meetings and visit several agricultural facilities.
