A delegation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Karakalpakstan led by Minister Murad Kurbanov visited Ukraine to study the best practices of this country and the possibilities of using them to improve the health situation in the Aral Sea region.

Meetings and talks were held with the Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Ljashko and heads of the main medical institutions of the country.

At the meeting with the Minister of Health, Ukraine’s aspiration to deepen multilateral cooperation with Uzbekistan was emphasized.

Members of the delegation took part in the First Ukrainian Medical Congress. A Memorandum on scientific cooperation in medical practice, education and science was signed between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the National Children’s Specialized Hospital “OKHMATDIT” of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

Following the visit, agreements were reached on the establishment of cooperation in cardiology, neonatology, oncology, transplantation and other areas.
