Uzbekistan delegation led by Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov took part in an informal ministerial meeting of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), organized on the initiative of the Kazakh side, in New York, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

The event was attended by representatives of 26 countries, including Azerbaijan, Bahrain, India, Iran, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Türkiye, and others.

The issues of preparation for the Sixth CICA Summit in Astana on October 12-13, 2022, as well as coordination of final documents were discussed.

The Uzbek side voiced the proposals and initiatives of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the implementation within the framework of the CICA.
