FIDE has announced that the next Rapid and Blitz World Championships will be held in New York from December 26 to 31 this year.

According to the program, rapid championships will be held on December 26-28, and blitz championships on December 30 and 31.

It should be noted that in December 2023, Samarkand hosted the last Rapid and Blitz World Championships. Magnus Carlsen from Norway won the men’s rapid and blitz championships, while Anastasia Bodnaruk (rapid) and Valentina Gunina (blitz) from Russia won the women’s championships.
