Central Asian Foreign Ministers meet in Tashkent

Tashkent hosted an informal meeting of the heads of the foreign affairs agencies of the Central Asian countries within the framework of the International Conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities”.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, the event was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tileuberdi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov, as well as the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Nuran Niyazaliev.

The parties discussed issues related to the preparation for the next Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia in Turkmenistan, including drafts of joint documents submitted for consideration by the Heads of State.
