A Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Naples between the delegation of Bukhara region and the leadership of the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli on the establishment of a branch of the Italian University in Bukhara.
The event was attended by Ambassador of Uzbekistan Otabek Akbarov, Deputy Hokim of Bukhara region Mirali Khamroyev, rectors of Bukhara State Medical Institute Shukhrat Teshayev and Bukhara Institute of Engineering and Technology Nusratilla Barakayev, Vice-rector of Bukhara State Medical Institute Akhatjon Nasullayev, Rector of the Vanvitelli University, Gianfranco Nicoletti and Head of the International Department Sergio Minucci, as well as representatives of various faculties of the university.
Organizational issues related to the opening of a branch of the University of Campania in Bukhara were discussed at the event. According to the Memorandum, the branch of the Italian university will train bachelors and masters in construction, architecture, fashion design, higher nursing based on the University of Campaign curriculum. Based on the existing needs of Bukhara region, a proposal was also made to train specialists in the field of leather processing and leather products, medicine, pharmaceuticals and other areas.
The highly qualified teaching staff of the Italian University will be involved in the educational process at the branch of the Bukhara University. Students will have the opportunity to complete an internship in Italy.
The parties discussed in detail the curricula of joint educational programs and various organizational issues. The sides also exchanged views on other promising issues of cooperation in the educational sphere.
