14:07 / 2022-03-01

Uzbekistan’s Namangan hosted an exhibition workshop in “Yashil O’zbekistan” Park, as part of the national project “Green Space” initiated by the President of the country.

Representatives of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Ecology and Environmental Protection, scientists discussed issues related to planting trees and shrubs in the regions.

“In the next five years, a billion trees will be planted in the country”, says Shukrullo Ziyodov, a researcher at the Research Institute of Environment and Environmental Technologies under the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Ecology and Environmental Protection. – The ecological balance of territories in the world is carried out by a sufficient number of green spaces. For example, in Hannover, there are 28 million seedlings per million people. The minimum indicator of green spaces per capita in developed countries is 8-10 trees.
