In connection with the continuing difficult situation in neighboring Afghanistan, in response to requests from foreign partners, as well as in the spirit of adherence to the principles of international humanitarian law, Uzbekistan is closely cooperating with several countries on the evacuation of their citizens from Afghanistan.
Over the past few days, almost two thousand citizens of foreign states have been evacuated through Uzbekistan, Presidential Press Secretary Sherzod Asadov informed at yesterday's briefing.
