At the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Türkiye, together with the Center for Strategic Research of Türkiye, a roundtable discussion was organized on the adoption by the UN General Assembly of a special Resolution on enhancing the role of parliaments in accelerating the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The event was attended by the President of the Center for Strategic Research SASAM Mesut Emre Karaköse, heads of the Turkish World Culture Art and Cinema Foundation, well-known experts and researchers.

The participants of the event were informed about the Resolution initiated by the President of Uzbekistan, which was unanimously adopted by the UN General Assembly, its co-authors were about 40 states, including Türkiye.

As Mr. Mesut Emre Karaköse noted, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in the process of building New Uzbekistan, adopted a foreign policy course that is very open to the world. Based on a multi-vector foreign policy, Uzbekistan has further increased its international prestige. All proposals of the Leader of Uzbekistan to build a more just and prosperous world are supported by an increasing number of UN member states.
