On September 4, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the construction of Tashkent East Airport.
Transport infrastructure is consistently developing in Uzbekistan. New roads and bridges are being built, and travel comfort is increasing. In particular, Samarkand, Termez, Muynak, Zaamin, Kokand, and Urgench airports were updated and put into operation. Tashkent East Airport has been reconstructed in recent years.
A 4-kilometer runway was built on the complex’s territory. It can accommodate large airliners. Two terminals, an apron, and hangars for high-ranking guests and business aviation are currently under construction. The airport will be equipped with modern radio-technical and meteorological equipment of the ICAO III-A category, ensuring takeoff and landing even in adverse weather conditions.
The terminals’ external and internal appearance was also presented here. The Head of state drew attention to the fact that the facades of the buildings should be made in the national style and that more attention should be paid to warm colors when decorating and equipping. He emphasized the need to consider all the amenities for receiving high-ranking guests and holding meetings.
As is known, the airport is located next to the New Uzbekistan Park and the Olympic Village. Instructions were given on landscaping these complexes and roadside areas, planting flowers, and using decorative elements that reflect the country’s people’s culture.
