
Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan Amanbay Orinbayev received representatives of the World Bank working in Uzbekistan.
At the meeting, issues of attracting grant funds from the World Bank to the Republic of Karakalpakstan to develop the livestock sector were discussed.
This year alone, it is planned to allocate $5 million in grant funds for the Republic of Karakalpakstan. Laboratory equipment for the production of embryos will be purchased in November-December using these funds to improve the cattle breed.
Also, to improve the material and technical base of the Veterinary and Livestock Development Committee and the veterinary service, it is planned to provide two special disinfection vehicles, one 5-ton freezer, 13 1-ton freezers, 53 freezers, 16 computers, and 16 printers.
At the meeting, it was noted that the World Bank has allocated a loan of 2.8 billion UZS for the development of livestock farming and plans to allocate another 44 billion UZS.
