A solemn ceremony was held in Tashkent to award the Al-Khwarizmi International Mathematics and Informatics Olympiad winners, organized by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education in cooperation with the Center for Subject Olympiads.

A total of 106 participants were awarded based on the results of this prestigious competition.

The Olympiad brought together 205 students from Uzbekistan, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. In total, 34 mathematics and 32 informatics teams participated in the event.

The Olympiad was held for the third time from May 8 to 12 this year. The jury included experts from Iran, Bulgaria, Tajikistan, and professors from Uzbekistan.

The mathematics tests were conducted in written form over two days, while the informatics competitions took place online over two days.

As part of the event, students participated in master classes led by international experts and attended excursions to historical and cultural sites in Tashkent.

This Olympiad will serve as an important preparatory stage for the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) and the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), both scheduled to be held in July 2025.
