
A meeting was held at the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan with the participation of representatives of the World Health Organization (WHO).
At the meeting, the WHO Country Office in Uzbekistan presented the WHO – Uzbekistan Cooperation Strategy for 2025-2030, as well as the organization’s second European Programme of Work for 2026-2030.
The cooperation strategy will be signed by Minister of Health Asilbek Khudoyorov and WHO Regional Director for Europe Hans Kluge during an international conference scheduled for April 8 in Astana.
The European Programme of Work aims to adapt the WHO’s global strategy to the regional context and accelerate progress toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The initiative aims to improve health outcomes for nearly one billion people. The program is scheduled for submission and approval by member states at the 75th session of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe, which will take place from 28 to 30 October.
