First Deputy Minister of Mining and Geology Feruza Khamidova held a meeting with representatives of a delegation led by EITI Board Chair Helen Clark.

The delegates presented detailed information about the organization’s activities, the stages of implementing EITI standards, and their advantages. It was emphasized that Uzbekistan’s accession to the EITI aligns with the logic of ongoing reforms and strategic objectives.

According to the delegation’s program, the EITI representatives will also meet with officials from other ministries and agencies. This will be an essential step toward strengthening transparency in Uzbekistan’s extractive industry and enhancing international cooperation.
