On November 18, the first session of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan in its new composition was held. The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev addressed the meeting. Ismoilov Nuriddin Muydinkhanovich was elected Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis. Deputies Mavluda Khodjayeva and Rakhimjon Hakimov were elected Deputy Speakers.

The first session of the newly formed Senate was convened in Tashkent on November 19. The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev addressed the meeting. In accordance with Article 101 of the Constitution of Uzbekistan, the President nominated Senator Tanzila Narbayeva for the position of Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis. Senators voted in favor of the candidate. Thus, Tanzila Narbayeva was elected as the Chairperson of the Senate for the second time. Also, Sodiq Safoyev was elected as the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate, and Amanbay Orinbayev was elected Deputy Chairman of the Senate.

On November 20, the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis held a session to consider a candidate for the post of Prime Minister. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev nominated Abdulla Aripov for the post of Prime Minister. Deputies approved Abdulla Aripov for the post of Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It should be noted that Abdulla Aripov has been serving as Prime Minister since 2016.

The Deputy Prime Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan have been appointed. Ochilboy Ramatov and Jamshid Khojayev were appointed Deputy Prime Ministers, Jamshid Kuchkarov was appointed Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy and Finance, and Zulaykho Mahkamova was appointed Deputy Prime Minister – Chairperson of the Committee for Family and Women. Ministers were also appointed to twenty ministries. There were no changes to the composition of ministers before the elections.

2025 was declared the Year of Environmental Protection and Green Economy in Uzbekistan. This proposal was made by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at a meeting in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis. The participants fully supported this initiative. It was decided that the Government of Uzbekistan would develop a state program on the most important tasks set out in the name of the year.

On November 18, on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the adoption of the state flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a record-breaking flag, 100 meters long, set off from Khorezm towards Tashkent. For several days, the flag of Uzbekistan fluttered in the hands of a group of soldiers, youth, and other Uzbekistan people at the Ichan Qala fortress in Khorezm, the Arch of Bukhara, and Registan Square in Samarkand, moving toward the capital. The 100 meters long flag reached its final destination, Tashkent, on November 18.
