The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with active entrepreneurs on December 20. Despite the difficult geopolitical situation, this year, the economy of Uzbekistan grew by 6.3 percent, exceeding $111 billion. $38 billion of investment was invested in industry, agriculture, and services, and exports exceeded $26 billion.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed his gratitude to entrepreneurs, noting the significant role they played in these results, providing employment to the population and reducing poverty.
Continuing this pace, next year, it is planned to increase gross domestic product to $120 billion, exports to $30 billion, and attract more than $42 billion in investment.
A decision was taken to develop an updated draft Customs Code to bring entrepreneurship legislation into line with the World Trade Organization and modern requirements.
