In the world of information technology, the “.UZ” domain is a familiar name.
Its official title is the National Top-Level Domain of the Republic of Uzbekistan – “.UZ”.

An international conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s national domain “.UZ” was held in Tashkent. The event brought together representatives from global internet governance organizations, technical communities, government agencies, business sectors, and domain name registrars.

The Minister of Digital Technologies, Sherzod Shermatov, participated in the conference.
One of the key announcements made during the event was the introduction of the IPv6 protocol within the national “.UZ” domain zone. Participants welcomed this development as a significant step toward modernizing the country’s network infrastructure.
A major outcome of the conference was signing a Memorandum of Understanding between KazNIC (.KZ) and UZINFOCOM (.UZ). The agreement aims to promote the exchange of experience, the implementation of joint projects in domain zone management, and the development of internet infrastructure.
