Uzbekistan’s judokas to compete in Hungary
The Hungary Grand Slam 2026 judo tournament will begin in Budapest on September 11 and feature 531 judokas from 70 countries.
Today, the Credentials Committee will meet for the draw ceremony for the weight categories.

The competition will include 38 athletes from Hungary, the host nation, along with 22 judokas from France, 19 from Israel, 18 from Azerbaijan, and 17 each from the Netherlands, Germany, Brazil, and Ukraine.
Six judokas will represent Uzbekistan, guided by coaches Iskandar Rasulov and Aziz Toshmatov.

The national team comprises Doston Ruziyev (under 60 kg), Elbek Tojiyev (under 73 kg), Murodjon Yuldashev (under 81 kg), Sevinch Murodova (under 48 kg), Muhayyo Akhmatova (under 52 kg), and Marjona Kuchimova (under 78 kg).
The tournament will run until September 13.
