The Senate of the Oliy Majlis hosted a meeting with a delegation of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

During the dialogue, Senate Chairperson Tanzila Narbayeva drew special attention to the current state of cooperation between the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan and parliaments of the CIS countries and upcoming plans in this direction.

The parties noted that friendly relations between the CIS member states have strengthened and reached a new level in all spheres, which is very important for people’s well-being.

In particular, the increasing role of parliaments in this process and Uzbekistan’s proactive position in the Assembly's activities were emphasized.

At the meeting, an agreement was reached on further enhancing Uzbekistan’s cooperation with the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly and its member states and implementing new projects.
