Uzbekistan’s Independence Day celebrated in Seattle

Uzbekistan’s 35th independence anniversary is being celebrated widely at home and abroad. This year’s Independence Day highlights the global focus on Uzbekistan’s national values, symbols, and cultural heritage.

Seattle, along with other major U.S. cities, has hosted symbolic events celebrating Uzbekistan’s Independence Day. Displaying the State Flag of Uzbekistan at key locations throughout the city serves as a strong symbol of international respect for the country’s national holiday.

At the Bell Harbor International Conference Center on the Elliott Bay waterfront, the Uzbekistan State Flag was raised alongside the flags of the United States and Canada. Additionally, the Seattle Great Wheel, a prominent local attraction, was lit up with the colors of the Uzbekistan flag. This 53-meter-tall observation wheel, located on the Seattle waterfront, features 42 cabins and provides panoramic views of the city, Elliott Bay, and the nearby mountains.

Raising the State Flag of Uzbekistan in Seattle and illuminating the Seattle Great Wheel with Uzbekistan’s colors go beyond mere ceremony. These symbolic acts embody the increasing friendship, mutual respect, and collaboration between the two nations.
