A cultural and enlightenment meeting was held at the Prince of Songkla University, located on the island of Phuket in Thailand, with the participation of poets, writers, and scientists from Uzbekistan.

The Vice President of the University, Pun Tongchumnum, expressed satisfaction with the further development of relations between the countries and thanked for the opportunity to get acquainted with Uzbek culture and literature.

Journalist and translator Asror Allayarov noted that this meeting plays a big role in strengthening cultural ties between Uzbekistan and Thailand and will become a bridge in creating new areas of interaction.

The “Lazgi” dance performed by the “Nihol” Prize laureate Dilnoza Ortiqova and Risolat Sapayeva made a great impression. To further develop literary cooperation between the two countries, academic and scientific works published in Uzbekistan were donated to the library of the University.
