At the Asian Ashihara-Karate Championship, members of the Uzbekistan national team took first place in the team competition.

Almost 150 athletes from 12 Asian and European countries took part in the competition. Athletes from Tashkent, Andijan, Fergana, Namangan, Kashkadarya, Navoi, Samarkand, Syrdarya, and Surkhandarya regions and the city of Tashkent defended the honor of Uzbekistan.

The next places were taken by the teams of Russia, Kazakhstan, and the United States.
