Uzbekistan will have access to high-speed satellite internet
During the Tashkent International Investment Forum, Amazon Leo, a branch of the U.S. company Amazon, and the national provider UZ-SAT signed a significant agreement.
The document outlines plans to introduce next-generation high-speed satellite internet services in Uzbekistan, increasing internet access for residents in remote and mountainous areas.
The project is built on the Amazon Leo satellite system, consisting of over 3,000 satellites linked by high-speed optical connections, providing a reliable connection to the global network almost anywhere in the world.
To access satellite internet services, users can use special Amazon Leo Nano, Pro, and Ultra terminals, enabling them to obtain a high-quality internet connection regardless of their geographic location.
Experts agree that implementing this technology will significantly help narrow the digital divide across the country’s regions and open up more opportunities in education, healthcare, and business.
