During the visit of the Uzbekistan delegation, led by representatives of the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Compatriots Abroad, to the United States, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Committee and the “Vatan” Public Organization.

The parties agreed to cooperate in supporting the national identity of the communities of compatriots and the Uzbek diaspora abroad, and to help them develop their social and economic potential. It is also planned to promote the maintenance of relations with Uzbekistan, as well as the preservation and development of language, culture, customs, and traditions. The contribution to Uzbekistan’s socio-economic development and the strengthening of its friendly relations with other countries will become an essential part of the cooperation.

The memorandum also provides for assistance to compatriots in matters of professional, including entrepreneurial, investment, scientific, educational, and cultural activities, as well as education on the territory of Uzbekistan, and support for large-scale socio-economic and socio-political reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan.

Additionally, it is planned to develop cooperation in enhancing Uzbekistan’s positive image in the international arena through public diplomacy mechanisms. Uzbekistan’s achievements and opportunities will be popularized among the general public. It is planned to provide support in organizing exhibitions, scientific and practical workshops, and conferences dedicated to the rich history of Uzbekistan and the achievements of the New Uzbekistan at its current stage of development.
