Every year, on February 21, International Tourist Guide Day is celebrated in many countries.

In this regard, Tashkent hosted the 7th Uzbekistan Tourist Guide Forum. It was attended by more than 300 international experts in tourism, representatives of government organizations, scientific and educational institutions. The event was organized jointly with the Committee on Tourism under the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Scientific Research Institute for Tourism Development.

The event aims to discuss important tourism industry areas and prospects, exchange experiences, and strengthen cooperation with foreign partners.

An international scientific-practical conference on “Excursion activities: a symbiosis of education, science and practice” was held as part of the event. Well-known scientists and experts in the tourism sector made presentations.

Memoranda of understanding and cooperation were also signed between the Scientific Research Institute for Tourism Development and various educational and tourism organizations of Türkiye, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
